Dr. McFarlane and his Team

Dr. McFarlane and his staff are committed to enhancing the quality of life for those people who choose to come to us for their dental health care. This includes excellence in our orthodontic results. Equally as important, we are committed to the creation of an environment that is open, friendly, and a fun place to be. We dedicate our time, talents, and energy to this objective.

Dr. R. Bruce McFarlane

Dr. McFarlane became a dentist in 1984, graduating from the University of Manitoba with Doctor of Dentistry and Bachelor of Science degrees. He practiced as a general dentist for six years and then returned to graduate school at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated as an orthodontist in 1992.

Since then, he has practiced orthodontics in the Medical Arts Building in Winnipeg and has moved into an exciting new office at 1190 Taylor Avenue in the Grant Park Festival.

Dr. McFarlane is now a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

In addition to his office practice, Dr. McFarlane teaches orthodontics all over North America to orthodontists and dentists, and has become a sought-after speaker in the discipline of orthodontics.

Dr. McFarlane resides in Winnipeg and is active with his three children. He is involved with fitness, coaching soccer and hockey and has a passion for philanthropy.

Christine

Christine is our treatment coordinator: responsible for making sure your treatment goes forward in a smooth coordinated manner: and that your dental insurance and financing options are all clear and concise.

Christa

We first met Christa as an orthodontic patient. She joined our team in 2002 as on orthodontic assistant. She enjoys orthodontics and loves to see the great smiles we create here.

Ashleigh

Ashleigh is an orthodontic module assistant who loves what she does; and it shows! She’s a terrific people person: relating especially well to our teenage patients. When not moving teeth: Ashleigh can be found at the salon, hanging with her dog: or repairing her house!

Carla

Carla has been working with Dr. McFarlane as Laboratory Coordinator since 2001. Carla's background as an esthetician and training as an orthodontic technician makes for the perfect combination for keeping beautiful smiles smiling. Carla finds the process most gratifying. Working with Dr. McFarlane and his patients is always a pleasure.

Jamie

Another former patient of Dr. McFarlane’s: Jamie is the latest addition to the team. As a new patient, you’ll likely have Jamie take your initial photos and images: and you’ll likely meet her again in the clinic as an orthodontic module assistant. Jamie is friendly, efficient, and gentle: that’s what we’re all about!
