The 2010 McFarlane Mission
The McFarlane Team are fundraising for their volunteer dental mission to The Orphanage of Monte Cristi, Dominica Republic: March 20-27 2010.

2009 92 Citi FM Bed-In
Dr. McFarlane was back at the 92 Citi FM Bed-In for the Salvation Army at the Forks.

Welcome Dr. Akylacin!
Dr Akyalcin became a Dentist and Orthodontist at Ege University in Izmir, Turkey: finishing in 2001.
Dr Akyalcin went on to earn a PhD in orthodontics: also at Ege University.
Dr Akyalcin is now an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at The University of Manitoba. He will be joining Dr. McFarlane at his office on Taylor Ave on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons beginning September 01 2009.
Dr Akyalcin has achieved numerous scientific and research awards, and twelve scientific publications to his name so far. His other interests are: music, web design, photography, reading and hiking. Dr Akyalcin is a super nice guy and will be a great addition to the McOrtho team!

Dr McFarlane is Out Standing in The Field!
Once again, Dr. McFarlane will be coaching his son’s soccer team out of St John’s Ravenscourt School. They’ve been runners-up far too many times (photo of last year’s runner-up medal ceremony). This year: they’re going all the way! Go Eagles!
Dr. McFarlane Receives New Designation
Dr. McFarlane is pleased to announce that he is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. The equivalent of “Board Certification” in medicine, the designation requires a high level of knowledge and expertise in one's field: a process through which Dr. McFarlane has been working over the past two years in the United States. It is most consistent with the office credo ICAN: Improvement — Constant and Never-ending.
